Refund Policy
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Last updated: 12 July 2026
Talliss Mentorship Ltd provides professional mentoring, coaching, mock assessments, documentation reviews and related services. As these are services rather than physical goods, there are no goods to return. However, customers may have cancellation and refund rights as explained below.
Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any rights you have under applicable UK consumer law.
Talliss Mentorship Ltd will provide its services with reasonable care and skill and in accordance with the description provided when you booked. Where a service has not been provided with reasonable care and skill, you may have the right to repeat performance, a price reduction or another remedy under the Consumer Rights Act 2015
Your 14-day cancellation right
Where you qualify as a consumer and purchase a service online, by telephone or by email, you normally have the right to cancel your contract within 14 days without giving a reason.
The cancellation period ends 14 days after the day on which the contract is entered into. To exercise this right, you must tell us clearly that you wish to cancel before the cancellation period expires.
You can cancel by emailing:
matthew@tallissmentorship.com
Please include your name, the service purchased, the booking date and any order or invoice reference.
Services beginning during the 14-day cancellation period
You may ask us to begin providing a service before the 14-day cancellation period has ended.
Where you have expressly requested that work begins during this period and then cancel, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for any service or work provided up to the time you tell us that you wish to cancel.
If the service is fully completed during the 14-day period following your express request and your acknowledgement that your cancellation right will be lost once the service has been fully performed, your right to cancel will end when the service has been completed.
Cancellations after the 14-day period
Once the statutory cancellation period has expired, there is no automatic right to a refund because you have changed your mind. However, we will consider requests reasonably and fairly.
Any amount retained by Talliss Mentorship Ltd will reflect:
Services or work already provided.
Reasonable costs already incurred.
Any genuine loss resulting from the cancellation.
Whether a reserved appointment can reasonably be offered to another customer.
We will not impose cancellation charges that are disproportionate to the loss caused by the cancellation. Government guidance says that amounts retained should reflect actual business losses and that excessive cancellation charges may be unfair.
Rescheduling mentoring and mock-assessment sessions
Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to rearrange a scheduled session.
Where at least 48 hours’ notice is provided, we will normally allow the session to be rescheduled once without an additional charge, subject to availability.
Where less than 48 hours’ notice is provided, or the customer does not attend, Talliss Mentorship Ltd may retain an amount reflecting the reasonable costs and losses caused by the late cancellation. This may include the full session fee where the appointment cannot reasonably be filled and no corresponding costs have been saved.
We will consider exceptional circumstances reasonably.
Documentation reviews
You may cancel a documentation-review service before work has started and receive a full refund.
If work has already begun, any refund will be reduced by a reasonable and proportionate amount reflecting the work completed up to the time we receive your cancellation.
Once the documentation review and associated feedback have been completed and supplied, the service is treated as fully performed, subject to your statutory rights where the service has not been provided with reasonable care and skill.
Mentorship programmes
Where a mentorship programme is cancelled after the 14-day cancellation period, any refund will be calculated according to:
Sessions and services already delivered.
Documentation or preparation work already completed.
Materials already supplied.
Reasonable and unavoidable costs or losses arising from the cancellation.
We will provide an explanation of any amount deducted.
Cancellation by Talliss Mentorship Ltd
If Talliss Mentorship Ltd has to cancel a session, you will be offered an alternative date.
Where we are unable to provide the purchased service or agree a suitable alternative, you will receive a refund for the part of the service that has not been delivered.
Refund processing
Where you validly exercise your statutory right to cancel, any refund due will be processed without undue delay and normally within 14 days of receiving your cancellation notice.
Refunds will normally be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction unless another method is expressly agreed. No fee will be charged for issuing the refund.
